Neolithic & Bronze Age Reproduction Pottery
Similar techniques and tools have been used to shape and decorate these clay pots as it may have been done over 5,000 years ago. Each pot started as a pinch pot and then coils were added until the desired height and width of the pot was reached. The pot is then decorated with patterns by using simple tools. For example: cord impressions on the rim and the body of the pot, incision lines by using a hazel or willow twig and the quill end of a birds feather for the finer markings. These pots remain porous
